SELF MADE
Roots, Resilience, Culture, is a project comprised of 3 short videos made by Sam Badby, Keaton Brignall McDougall and I for the Windrush Digital Learning Project in 2021. This series is a celebration and reflection of the Windrush Generation.
Resilience seeks to give a short recollection of some of the most significant moments of protest and activism since the Empire Windrush first arrived at Tilbury dock in 1948. This video serves as a reminder of how racism and discrimination has been experienced by many different generations continuing to present day and how important activism still is as a result.
